will end up bald, ugly and a lot poorer when it's all over? Well, if you are not careful and do not
do your homework you will. But there is a way to have that long, beautiful hair using Hair
Extensions without damaging your own hair, yes this is true and in fact wearing hair extensions
actually allow your natural hair to grow longer and healthier in the process
I added this section because I receive many questions about various hair extensions. I try my
best to answer them all. It is important to keep in mind that answers can vary from person to
person......everyone's hair and scalp is different. This page offers general information to the

1. WILL HAIR EXTENSION DAMAGE MY HAIR?
No. If extensions are professionally installed, cared for as your stylist recommend, and
professionally removed, there will be not be any damage to your hair. Also, several
weeks after installment, you may notice loose hair attached to the bonds, do not worry
this is a result of natural shedding and the attachment cannot come off because it is
bonded and have to be removed.
2. CAN I COLOR OR PERM MY HAIR WHEN WEARING EXTENSIONS
It is not recommended that you color or perm hair at home. You may experience some
hair loss. However, someone that is trained in hair extensions will know how to achieve
these procedures.
3. WHAT ABOUT RELAXING, CAN I RELAX MY HAIR WITH HAIR EXTENSIONS
I do not recommend relaxing your hair while wearing extensions. But, your stylist can re-
lax the perimeter of your hair. I also recommend your stylist to shampoo your hair while
wearing your extensions.
4. HOW LONG CAN THE EXTENSIONS STAY IN MY HAIR
Anywhere from 3-6 months, sometimes longer, though I don't recommend wearing them
any longer than the specified time. It is important that you have your extensions removed
professionally and within the proper time period to prevent stress on the hair.
5. CAN I TREAT EXTENSIONS LIKE MY OWN HAIR
Yes you can. We recommend using Nioxin products while you have extensions in your hair,
it will slow down natural hair loss. When shampooing at home it is best to use professional
hair care products your stylist recommend.
6. IS THERE A SPECIAL WAY TO CARE FOR THE HAIR EXTENSIONS: YES
A. Washing: Keep hair clean. Hair tangles when there is build up of dirt and sweat. Wash
hair after swimming, exercise etc. Before shampooing, brush hair to remove tangles.
When washing hair, use a downward motion. Gradually wet your hair and brush gently
before you completely wash it. Hair can tangle and swell when lots of water is added to
dry hair all at once. This occurs with the less expensive extension hair.
B. Styling: Use soft bristle brush when brushing. Start at ends of hair and work your way
up. Do not brush extensions harshly and always brush in a downward motion. Brush
hair two to three times daily. Be cautious about excessive heat as heat will cause your
extensions to last a shorter period of time. It is best to let hair dry naturally.
C. Exercise: When swimming, either wear a cap or be sure to not wet hair. Chlorine and
salt water can cause your extensions to tangle and mat. It is best to wear hair up or in a
ponytail when exercising or swimming.
D. Sleeping: Wrap hair or tie it up gently before going to bed to keep it from tangling. Do
not sleep on wet hair. Be sure hair is completely dry.
E. Hair Products: Use a good leave-in conditioner to keep hair soft.. Ber sure not to
over do it. To much can cause build-up and tangling. Avoid products with alcohol.
Alcohol dry out the hair.

When considering hair extensions, consultations are most important. Density, Length,
Color, and style are all considered when conducting consultations. All extensions are
not made for all hair types. Ex. If your hair is thinning or balding, fusion would not be
an option for you. The stylist does not know what hair extension is right for you unless
a consultation is done.
8. HOW LONG AFTER CONSULTATION CAN HAIR EXTENSIONS BE APPLIED
It depends on how busy we are. Take into consideration the hair has to be ordered.
Overnight shipping is available for an extra charge, but hair is usually delivered within
1-3 days. Extensions can be colored to match your hair color.
9. WHAT IS MY NATURAL HAIR IS COLORED OR HIGHLIGHTED
It is not recommended hair extensions be applied under 48 hours after coloring your hair.
10. HOW MUCH DO HAIR EXTENSIONS COST
That is a difficult question to answer, which is why the consultation is extremely important.
Pricing is discussed at that time. Every individual has a different need and no one is the
